02 — Installation Process

Wet Application, Step by Step

A five-stage workflow that ensures precise alignment, full adhesion, and stable, lift-free edges.

1

Surface Preparation

  • Clean and decontaminate the surface thoroughly
  • Ensure no dust, oil, or wax remains
2

Installation Solution

  • Use warm water as the base solution
  • Optional slip enhancement: one drop of baby soap or mild dishwashing liquid
Do not overuse soap — excess additives may reduce adhesive performance.
3

Film Positioning

  • Spray solution on the surface and the adhesive side
  • Position the film and adjust alignment freely
4

Squeegee Application

  • Remove water and air from the center outward
  • Work section by section for full adhesion
5

Edge Wrapping

  • Use heat when necessary for curved areas
  • Ensure adhesive is fully set before final sealing
Proper curing ensures long-term edge stability and prevents lifting.
03 — Curing & Aftercare

Let It Cure, Keep It Flawless

The first days after installation define the lifespan of the film. Follow the curing window and maintenance rules closely.

Curing Window
48–72 hrs

No washing within the first 48–72 hours. Avoid high-pressure water on edges during this period.

Curing Time

  • No washing within 48–72 hours after installation
  • Avoid high-pressure water directed at the edges

Maintenance

  • Use a pH-neutral car shampoo only
  • Avoid abrasive cleaning tools and brushes
  • Do not polish a fresh installation
04 — Common Mistakes

What to Avoid

Most installation failures trace back to a handful of avoidable errors. Watch for these.

01

Installing on contaminated surfaces

Dust, oil, or wax sabotages adhesion from the start.

02

Using excessive soap in the solution

Too many additives weaken the adhesive bond.

03

Immediate high-pressure washing

Disturbs the film before it has set.

04

Insufficient water removal

Trapped moisture causes bubbles and hazing.

05

Sealing edges before full cure

Leads to lifting and peeling over time.
